mymizu is a venture of Social Innovation Japan (a registered nonprofit organisation), launched in September 2019, that engages consumers and companies to reduce plastic waste and usage and to engage in sustainable practices and values. We provide a free platform that provides information about nearby locations where you can refill a water bottle, at public locations and businesses that sign up as our partners.
We are now growing rapidly and improving our existing water refill platform and building new engagement tools, such as a mymizu challenge that can be undertaken by companies and the general public too! We are looking for:

Job Description
You will work closely with our product manager and tech team to help design new features for our refill platform and engagement tools
Required Skills/Experience:
Mobile app UX/UI design
Business-level English language ability or above (our internal communication is predominantly in English)
Desirable Experience:
Business-level Japanese is desirable (fluent / native even more so!)
Prior experience such as designing app features involving ‘gamification’
Role and work environment:
Time commitment: 5~10 hours a week for an 3~4 months’ initial project
(negotiable - could be project-based or longer-term depending on your experience and availability)Starting in April/May (negotiable)
Remote work = no problem! Our work style is currently fully remote. Please be prepared to use your own laptop.
