Building Products To Save the World - Online Seminar
mymizu’s Product Lead Tanmay Goel explores Product Management as a career, shares stories from his experience leading product at mymizu, and explains the benefits of choosing a mission-focused team to work in at this online seminar hosted by Tokyo coding boot camp Code Chrysalis.
“Building products to change the world is even more fun and fulfilling, but also immensely challenging. For almost two years now, mymizu has been on the sole mission to reduce plastic usage in Japan by co-creating digital tools as well as a vibrant community that relates to the mission.
But have you ever wondered where does a Product Manager fits into all this? How can we use technology to make sustainability fun? And what it feels like to be part of a dynamic tech team in a startup environment? In this talk, Tanmay will describe Product Management as a career, share stories from his experience leading product at mymizu, and explain the benefits of choosing a mission-focused team to work in.
Tanmay Goel is currently a Product Manager at Rakuten Travel focusing on consumer-facing services. His current core interests lie in design thinking, UX as well as process management. Taking his passion for sustainability a step further, he is also Product Lead at sustainability startup mymizu, working on reducing plastic usage in Japan. Here his focus lies in gamification, user growth, and making a large-scale positive impact through technology.”
