This month, mymizu reached a milestone... 400,000 users & contributors! 🥳

We're beyond excited and grateful to see our community grow, and see a few factors helping to drive this:

🥵 Extreme Heat:

Last year, 90,000+ people were hospitalised from heatstroke in Japan. There's an urgent need for 'cooling infrastructure' and the government is pushing all municipalities to install ‘Cooling Shelters’. mymizu is part of this new social infrastructure as we adapt to these extreme conditions.

🛫 Tourism:

More overseas visitors to Japan are using and sharing about mymizu (including many travel influencers!). Using our free app, they can i) reduce plastic waste, ii) save money, and iii) stay safely hydrated - while also discovering our network of 2,500 partner businesses across 47 Prefectures.

🌍 Overseas demand:

The mymizu platform continues to attract and benefit from contributions worldwide. Recently, community members have been active in Canada, Greece, Guam, Mexico, Romania, Singapore, and beyond.

🏙️ City Collaborations:

Since launching in April, the "mymizu Local Government Alliance" has welcomed major cities, including Chiba and Nagoya. Our City Alliance now reaches 5 million+ residents across 8 municipalities, driving sustainable change at the city level nationwide.
