Meisei High School’s mymizu Challenge

Meisei High School’s mymizu challenge will be introduced by TBS TV “Asa-chan” on June 17th at 6:00AM.

Under the slogan “ MEISEI SDGs VISION~ Meisei connects the community and the world,” mymizu is working with this school to promote SDGs on their campus. Since April 2020, Meisei has abandoned PET bottles being brought to and sold on campus and have already done a fantastic job in moving towards a “carbon neutral” lifestyle.

They also designed their amazing original bottle in collaboration with mymizu.

We’re very excited to see them open the path to reducing CO2 emissions at Meisei through their mymizu challenge.

Message from the designer of the MEISEI original bottle:

“I entered the original My Bottle contest because I was interested in the environmental protection activity of "spreading a lifestyle where having your own bottle is a matter of course". I drew this design based on the image of Meisei Gakuen students, from kindergarten to high school, working together to reduce plastic consumption by carrying their own bottles. I incorporated the silhouette of the students wearing Meisei school uniforms into the design because I want everyone, regardless of age, to carry their own bottle and be involved in environmental conservation activities. I also drew the star used as the image of Meisei Gakuen as a starfish. Nowadays, a lot of plastic wastes are thrown into rivers and oceans and they become marine plastic wastes, causing environmental pollution and affecting the ecosystem. This is our biggest challenge for the future. We hope that by encouraging people to carry their own bottle, we can create a world where marine life and people are healthy and environmentally friendly, and where we can maintain a better relationship with all living things. We hope that this design will encourage people to look back on their own lives and see if there is anything they can do to help the environment.”
