We are very excited to be teaming up with Nike this summer to create a new era of sustainable sports! Join our challenge to run 2.5 million kilometers - the length of all PET bottles used in 6 months in Japan - via Nike Run Club until 20th August.

On July 1st, we are excited to co-host a ground-breaking event with our friends PLASTIC LOVE! Documentary and Zero Waste Japan. This event, marking the beginning of Plastic Free July & the crowdfunding campaign launch for the documentary film PLASTIC LOVE!, will feature movers and shakers across sectors who are working to tackle the plastic crisis, including special guests Eric Kawabata from Loop Japan, and Sadao Harada from Project Hozugawa.

Last week, in celebration of World Oceans Day, we held an internal online event, “Our Connection with the Ocean”, for Starbucks Japan.

Meisei High School’s mymizu challenge will be introduced by TBS TV “Asa-chan” on June 17th at 6:00AM.

Under the slogan “ MEISEI SDGs VISION~ Meisei connects the community and the world,” mymizu is working with this school to promote SDGs on their campus.

We had our mymizu Ocean Day event to celebrate our beautiful blue planet. The event took place on Instagram IGTV on June 6th.

Ethical Conveni, the new convenience store that provides products and experiences for people to live sustainably and incorporate the SDGs into their daily lives.

Our team held our first public beach clean event in a while at Katase Higashihama Beach on April 3rd.

At first glance, the beach seemed relatively clean, but as soon as we began, it became clear that there were lots of packaging, cigarette butts and other litter strewn across the beach. At the end, we collected 51.5kg worth of wast!.

mymizu's Robin spoke at the Japan SDGs Action Festival on 26th and 27th of March.

The festival was organized by a mix of Public (eg. Cabinet Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Private (eg. Keidanren, Global Compact) and Civil Society organisations, focusing on how all stakeholders in society can contribute to Sustainable Development.

Have you heard of the documentary “A Plastic Ocean”? After a recent screening in Tokyo, mymizu’s Mariko discussed what we can all do today to reduce ocean plastic with Ethical Coordinator, Alisa Evans. The film highlights the magnitude of the problem, including shocking scenes like plastic bottles strewn across the ocean bed.

mymizu's Robin had the chance to speak at the opening ceremony of the One Young World Tokyo Caucus 2020. One Young World, also known as the "Young Davos" conference, is the largest gathering of next-gen leaders working on the Sustainable Development Goals.

We participated at the Beachside Zerowaste Market at Kitahara Coffee Shop in Chigasaki today. Even though the beach looked clean, we picked up a lot of micro-plastics..

mymizu was interviewed in the World Cleanup Day 2020 live broadcast by the Ministry of the Environment’s “Plastics Smart” campaign.
